Allama Iqbal Open University AIOI, Islamabad has announced to complete the AIOU admission system online from Fall Semester 2021. Admission forms and prospectuses for all the programs will be available online. Candidates for admission will have to upload the forms along with other required documents. However, where Internet access is not available, printed prospectuses and admission forms will be available.
In addition, students have been provided the facility to submit the entry fee online, through Jazz Cash, EasyPay and UPay’s mobile app * 786 # USSD String / Retailer Agent / Franchisor and through Mobilink, Telenor, U Bank branches. Students will also be able to submit admission fees. It should be noted that the admissions for the first phase of Fall 2021 semester will start simultaneously from 15th July across the country. D programs will be included.
‘Facilitation Centers’ are being set up in all the regional offices of the University on the special direction of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Zia-ul-Qayyum for the guidance and assistance of the aspiring students. Students without internet facility are being set up in the Regional Offices of the University. The second phase of admissions will start from September 1, which will include BA (Associate Degree) / BS / B Ed programs.
Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Zia-ul-Qayyum started the process of digitization of the overall system of the university two years ago which has been successfully completed. Now the administrative, financial and teaching affairs of the university have been shifted from manual to automation.
The objectives of the process were to provide online facilities to students at their doorsteps on a faster basis, ensuring transparency in overall affairs. As a pilot project, the facility of submission of postgraduate level educational programs, workshops, submission of assignments was made online from last semester of spring 2021. The students have expressed happiness and satisfaction over the initiative of providing online facilities detail from etechnews.
