Azad and Jammu Kashmir Board Promotes Students Of Class 1 to Class 8

The Azad and Jammu Kashmir board has prompted the students of class 1 to class 8. The decision has been taken by considering the ongoing situation of the coronavirus pandemic. Due to the closure of educational institutes, the school authorities remain unable to complete the coursework of the students so it has been announced to promote the students to save their academic year. Moreover, the board could not conduct the annual exams for the students. In this regard, notification has been issued by the AJK board to notify the candidates. 

Promotion Of Students

The candidates of class1 to class 8 are informed to buy the books of the next class and resume the academic activities on their own. However, it is not confirmed that when the school officials will reopen the educational institutes for the resumption of the physical classes but the students are advised to not waste time and focus on the studies. In case the situation of the coronavirus gets better the authorities will allow the reopen the schools so that candidates can attend the classes without any delay. 

Annual Exams

For the commencement of matric and intermediate annual exams, the AJK board has not announced the date sheet yet. But it is clarified to the students that the examination schedule will be provided soon so that the candidates can prepare for the exams. However, it has been informed to the students that board authorities will conduct the annual exams at SSC and HSSC levels, and without appearing in the exams the students will not be promoted to the next class.
