LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif on Sunday rebuked his younger brother and PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif for adopting weak strategy against the government.

The differences between Nawaz Sharif and the leader of the opposition in National Assembly are not hidden from anyone but now these differences are emerging in the party meeting as well.

Quoting the party sources, Bol news channel reported that chairing the meeting, the former prime minister asked his younger brother that why the PML-N did not hold protests against the government, separately from the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), an alliance of the opposition parties.

He said the PDM was a movement, while the PML-N had a distinguished identity. He also asked that why workers conventions were not being held regularly in districts and tehsils.

Nawaz Sharif also raised question on the walkout during the joint sitting of the parliament, saying that if the party members were present in the parliament and protests continued inside the house, the government could not have easily enacted legislation. He said that if this was the strategy of the party then how would be success achieved in the future.

He directed the party to run an effective movement against the government and hold consultation meetings of the party. Shehbaz assured him that he would galvanise the party activities.
