The Jan. 6 Capitol attack was a defining moment for Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), he told CNN on Thursday.
The uproar “transformed me,” he said, adding that he never figured he would observer “our seat of government” enduring an onslaught “by our own kin.” After the attack, Manchin said he wanted to “hit the respite button,” since “something’s incorrectly.
